- Original design brief was to make 80 BHP/litre or 400 BHP with no development budget restrictions
- All aluminium 5.0 litre V8 DOHC 4 valves per cylinder powerhouse
- Red lines at 7,000 rpm
- 11.0:1 compression ratio
- Low-friction compact roller-finger follower valvetrain varies timing on all 4 camshafts
- Only 430lbs as shipped (approaching 1lb per horsepower)
- 412 BHP @ 6,500 rpm
- 390 lb/ft of torque @ 4,250 rpm
